It is good construction practice to do a mock-up of the exterior siding system prior to installation. Here is a test sample of the flat panel that we are using on the building. The details for the exterior siding are elaborate. Attached to the metal framing you can see on the building today we will install an exterior sheathing called “DensGlass”, then a weather barrier called Tyvek. This creates the weather shield for the building. Then a product “Rockwool” is added for insulation and then additional attachments are added to install the siding “skin” which is a combination of flat panel, as shown below, and light gauge metal siding. Over the next month both windows and siding will be installed.
