Our sandy soils gave Schuchart a run for the money this week. The NE stair tower is supported by a large stepped footing (this will be easier to visualize as it takes shape). As the footing steps up the hill in two directions we need to place rock under each pour and then compact it to create solid bearing pressure. It was a tense week for team Schuchart as they wrestled through it. Well on its way now, the first step pours Tuesday along with the big base for the SW tower.
