As we prepare to pour the concrete slab tomorrow (1-30-15) you will notice a few things being installed in the basement level. First the crew installs a layer of gravel to create a few draining mat for water to flow. Then they install a vapor barrier to prevent water from entering through the floor system. Lastly they install a wire mesh to reinforce the concrete which in our case is 4 inches thick.
